Since 1994 the United Agency Rural Agent Program has provided agencies across Kansas with a unique opportunity to reach a personal lines market they could not reach on their own and in 2003 commercial lines products were added.  United Agency provides the access to Hawkeye-Security products. 

This innovative and unique program is not a brokerage arrangement. Agents get a regular Hawkeye-Security contract with all the rights and responsibilities that go with a direct company contract. They send their business through United Agency in Arkansas City. They have no volume requirements; they own the business, deal directly on claims and are paid directly by Hawkeye-Security.

 Hawkeye-Security, headquartered in Des Moines is part of  Liberty Mutual Agency Markets a business unit of Liberty Mutual Group.   Hawkeye operates in eight Midwestern states.  They complement other property and casualty and specialty insurance carriers in the Liberty Mutual Group that distribute their products and services primarily through independent agents and brokers in other parts of the country.

 Our program continues to benefit agents in need of a competitive personal and commercial lines market.  Some agents have said it provides a safety net when other markets put limits on their ability to write new business.  Hawkeye-Security is a “standard lines market” particularly competitive for package (auto and home) accounts and small commercial business.
