A brief overview of our company

The United Agency, Inc., one of the oldest businesses in Arkansas City, can trace its history back to 1888. It is the largest Independent Insurance Agency in Cowley County and offers a full range of both REAL ESTATE and INSURANCE services including personal, business, health, and life insurance. United represents many of the largest and best-known insurance companies including Allstate, American States/Safeco, Hawkeye-Security, The Hartford, The St. Paul, Farmer’s Alliance, Continental Western, and Employer’s Mutual Casualty.

United Agency is owned and operated by Stephen Ross, Dan Deener, and Fred Bunting and employs a staff of twenty one including eleven licensed Realtors who are available at all times to serve the Cowley County public. Many of United’s employees hold the highest possible professional designations in their respective fields. Included in these professional achievements are CPCU, CIC, CLU and CISR designations in INSURANCE and GRI designations for REAL ESTATE.

We feel privileged to be a part of Arkansas City and we encourage our employees to be active in the civic and religious activities of the community. We are very proud of their achievements in this area.

Our associates are also active in many statewide professional organizations making United Agency well-known and respected throughout Kansas. Some of their present activities include a member of the Board of Governors of the Graduate Realtor Institute for Kansas, a member of the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Kansas Association of Realtors, Past President of the Wichita Chapter of the CPCU Society, a member of the Board of Governors of the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents, and a past President of the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents.
